Nah this is a new program that hasn't even launched yet.

Its not just a barcode reader its a Google search engine that gives you search result for pictures taken with your device.

You have the original Google text based search, then they introduced a voice activated search option and now they have a visual search application

Take a picture of a landmark in your city and info on the location will pop up. Take a pic of some object that you want more info on and Goggle will give yousearch results based on the picture. Take a pic of a business card and get info on the person on the card or add them to your contacts.

Most smartphones (at least Android phones) will have access to this program soon enough.

it's launched.. on 2.0 devices. i haven't downloaded it yet tho

got it on my G1 a couple weeks ago.. but really though all i use is barcode scanner.
