What up NT I just have a few general questions about cruise ships.

I'm going on the Carnival Sensation cruise in Nassau, Bahammas.

How much cash should I bring and what are some cool things to do to kick it?

Thanks in advance

Eat all the food on the menu you don't normally eat at home, late night comedy shows are a must, make sure you bring more cash than you think you need because the ATM fees are crazy

Cool. I was told to bring about 1k cash for the trip just because the ATM fees are nuts. I heard tips can be expensive too.

I'm like you I have no clue what to expect really...I just wanna chill for 6 days and not worry about *+$@

.....Gonna hit up the Casino a lot too

make sure you have money on your credit/debit card because they bill all most everything to the room..

if you like the sauce, your bill can get nuts. if not, it shouldnt be bad. every drink has a 15% tip auto-included so dont tip more.

eat like a king, its mostly free. i think all carnival ships have a steakhouse where its 30 bucks for like a 5 course meal but all regular dining and your three meals, including most room service, is free. i swear i gained 10 lbs in a week.

bring cash cause the ATM is like 6 dollar fee to take money out.

the dance club is open til like 3 am if youre into that. comedy shows are a must. make friends with someone whos a gold/silver cruiser, aka theyve been on more then one carnival cruise cause they get invited to a 45 minute FREE drink party. me and my group down like 8-9 mixed drinks during that 45

i found it more fun to do a-typical things on the islands. for instance, in mexico rather then doing sailing or whatever that costs a fortune, we rented a Rav 4 looking car and cruised the island and got to see what it was really about and it was only 55 bucks split 4 ways.

i cant think of anything else but if you have any more questions, feel free to shoot.

OP, how did the cruise go? I'm going on a cruise for the first time and we're going to the Bahamas for NYE.
On Carnival's website, I see a bunch of off shore excursions but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Should have went Royal Carribean.

You'll find out why when an allure/oasis ship is parked up next to yours at a port.

Been on 4 cruises really relaxing. How long is the trip and dnt buy from the stores on the boat they charge everything to your room.

be prepared to gain weight....

and i've never heard/been on this cruise line, but with cruises you can pretty much do a different event every day.
most of the cruises are usually all inclusive, so free food, drinks, etc. but you should check out the actual restaurants, where you have to pay. can't say no to a unlimited filet mignon dinner, with wine for $25 USD

the only thing i really paid for was liquor. when you dock, there should be a couple liquor stores for tourists. just buy the liquor there, put it in a water bottle, and you should be good. you will save a lot of money.
but the liquor on the boat shouldn't be priced that high, only if your looking to save for excursions etc. you should sneak it in.

either than that, have fun!

take extra cash with you for the casinos and take extra cash for the shoppin or whatever u plan on doin when u reach the islands. eat everything over there if its all u can eat freestyle cruise. take advantage of everything, the comedy at night is hilarious..cruises are the best if i can live on a cruise i would...they are so much fun
