Im going in like two weeks.  Wanted to know if anyone has been lately and have any suggestions on what i can do, or any tips and just random travel stuff i forgot about.

Im going with/for family so i cant really do wierd @#!+.

-must do things?
-good hotels for tokyo?
-best ways to keep in touch? (sim cards and stuff)
-general tips and tricks about any of these places

i just noticed im totally not ready.

Depending on what phone you have, you can unlock it and put a prepaid sim card in. Or if you are on a CDMA network, if you have a worldphone you can just slip the sim card in and it'll work.
But in Tokyo, could you cop me some Green Tea Kit Kats, Strawberry Kit Kats and Green Tea Pocky....they don't sell it over here?

Make it rain dollahs playa, make it rain dollahs

I'm going to Tokyo in August, staying at Hotel New Otani in Akasaka. Pretty sweet hotel, it's huge and a 4-5 star... Close to a ton of subway stations and shopping and all that. Have you done ANY planning or itineraries?

Typhoon season in that area of the world right now so be prepared. Makati or The Fort area in the Philippines is pretty much where all the action is at, if you're staying in Luzon that is.

@mastamind - yea, I figured the best way was to unlock all our phones, and get sim cards with blackberry service over there. I'm just hoping there some prepaid with actual data and not just that facebook and msging crap. I'm gonna hunt down those kitkats though lol.

@staylurkin - I'm gonna make it rain colourful dollahs...lol...cause I'm canadian

@finns - lol...no not really, so unprepared. The thing is I'm only going to "tokyo" cause there was no flights back straight home. So me and my sis are staying in narita for 2 nights. But we want to see tokyo and don't really know what to do cause were afraid of how far tokyo is (if to stay somewhere in tokyo or narita) and what to do with our luggage. I really have no clue how far it is from eachother but I read transportation is a +@@+@.

@stuntman - yea I saw on tablethotels.com. Pretty nice, and its not bad price wise either.

And what's up with fort. Are they far from eachother? I don't know if my cousins are that hip lol. I'm staying at one of my cousins condo in quezon city.

The good gambling spot is macau which is a ferry ride from Hong Kong.  They have major casinos like palazzo, venetian, and wynn.  If you can't find local bunz there are plenty of bar girls(that's what they call escorts over there) inside the casino.  Shopping in HK is just like any major city, they have all the high end stuff, but there are also alot of bargain shopping.

Weird

I'm going the exact same route (Manila -> HK -> Tokyo) in mid-July with my cousin. Can't wait.

I absolutely love Hong Kong...
Make sure you eat and shop a lot

, street-food and in restaurants.

I went with friends; there'd be days where we walked for 14hours, 1-2 hours was resting, eating, and taking the MTR.

my main plan is to eat, good looks on the info of the casino area, i forgot the name, macau.

Makati business district proper and The Fort are a stone's throw away from each other, they both have the clubs and what nots. Also, try and swing by Rockwell, it's nearby. Coming from QC though, you'd have to contest with god awful traffic. And oh yeah, Embassy super club is now called Encore. Good luck and have fun.
