Lets throw out the whole reliability argument as we all know Lexus>Benz in terms of maintenance, reliablity, cost of ownership, etc...Looks are subjective so I want to see what NT chooses.

I'd prefer the GS cause I don't like anything Benz has put out recently.

But those cars aren't in the same class/price range right?

Front end of the CLS is ugly. But if its fixed up right it can look great. Tough choice but I'll give the slight edge to the GS.
