Has anybody bought the Reebok Zigtechs?

I started being rediculous because EBW is as well. You're way too opinionated and I feel that any other persons view are invalid according to you. Basically me saying that I think these shoes are awesome means that you have to reply with a snide comment everytime so why not go and say something completely stupid. Anyways these shoes are the best I have worn for running and I don't care if anybody at all likes them besides me and that's that!

No, you're the one who started calling people "posers". I've been trying to bring legit facts to the table and you're the one who can't look outside of how you think. Obviously you do care or you wouldn't keep coming back to this post and trying to say how awesome these are. If you like them, that's fine. I'm trying to help people out to avoid weakening their legs and helping prevent injury which these shoes will attribute to over time. Reebok's marketing department needs a pat on the back because they have tons of people brainwashed into thinking these are great.

I'll stick to my vibrams.

i've had these since they released and its a very comfortable and lightweight shoe.. i only use them to go to work in although i have ran in them twice and i can feel how it absorbs impact and transfers energy through the zigtech to propel u.. pieces of the bottom have already started to come apart however so i dont know how durable these are.. i run alot though and i just stick with asics.. in the end i think this is just another gimmick for reebok (along with the easytones) and if your a serious runner asics brooks and mizuno are all a better option than these.

So, if I avoid the zigtechs based on your opinion because it does make sense to me, what would you recommended for a good shoe for running?  I don't run long distance, only 10 kilometers usually because it gets to uncomfortable, clearly because I wear retro Nike air flight lights to run in.

I don't have the option of running bare foot, unless I want to get a nice piece of glass in my ankle.

Time and again people ask about running shoe recommendations online, and it's really like rolling the dice.

If you're serious about running and getting a good pair of running shoes, you should go see a specialist at a running store. They can help you figure out your pronation habits and recommend types of running shoes for you. There is no single pair of magical shoes that will work perfectly for you, but there are various models, all of which could probably suit your needs.

Basketball shoes are somewhat different, but people run into the same problems. Person A loves the Kobe line while Person B can't stand them.

We really should sticky this or something, would save a lot of fruitless discussions.

Vibram Five Fingers.

Whoah! Those five fingers are insane man! I'm definitely going to have to look for a pair.

The KSO seem best for what I want to do.

Thanks.

Found a store near by that carries KSO. Gunna try them tomorrow.

So the store near by that carries Vibram don't carry the size I need (40) so I'll have to buy them online.

I ran on a turf field today bare foot and oh my god it's the greatest thing possible. Never wearing a shoe to run again unless I'm getting chased by something.

Nice. Barefoot>>>>>>>>>Everything. The KSO is what I have and it definitely is a great all around tool. If you're going to be running mostly in them, Virbam has a version coming out that is re-tooled on the bottom for running specifically called the Bikila. I would hold out for those if you wanna run a ton.
