the stores arent supposed to. if someone took a picture of that and sent it to nike, the store could risk having all of its nike shoes pulled from their store because nike considers that breaking the release date.

with that said, all the stores do it anyway..

If the shoes are not on the sales floor (shoe wall) Ex.. Not available for sale. Then Nike could care less. Nike knows people sell early, but there is only so much they can do.
