Head Coach Jason Kidd

he was a great team leader so this looks like something he can do but aint no one saving the broolyn nets

i don't think he'll be very successful in the beginning at least, but they've got a decently talented team on paper and it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. hope he signs and they don't end up changing their minds.

Head coach?

There's still some openings for Shaw to get.

It is kinda crazy that Kidd has only been retired a week and he already gets a coaching job.

It's going to be very weird seeing him on the sidelines coaching this soon.

If there's one thing NBA head coaches need to do with players is to get them to invest in the team. Kidd has been a culture changer every where he's been, so he has that going for him. Surrounding him with veteran coaches should help ease his transition in the Xs and Os department.

Still a crazy situation.

So, I doubted Mark Jackson and ended up being completely wrong about him.

What's the difference between him and Kidd as a coach?

I think Jackson may be somewhat of an anomaly...I don't like hiring guys with no coaching experience. I mean ****, what's Brian Shaw gotta do to get a gig? Dude is turning into the Susan Lucci of the coaching circle.

Shaw has had opportunities to be a head coach over the years and withdrawn his name (Cavs, Bobcats, Magic). So he can blame himself more than anyone else. Judging from afar, he doesn't want to go through a rebuilding situation with a team.

It seems like he wants the Clippers job anyways.

As a huge GSW fan IMO Marc Jackson is a motivation leader. But the team's success is largely due to the moves made by the front office and assistant coach Mark Malone. Mark Jackson just had to step in and motivate the guys. Personally, I don't think Mark Jackson is a great coach

I guess beggars can't be choosers. Cavs/Bobcats/Magic can be seen as dead-end jobs.

Clippers would be a great situation for him to step in to.

No one as credible as Shaw is going to take the Bobcats job when their team is guaranteed to be fighting for the #1 pick every year, and MJ is firing head coaches after every season.
