Never had anything on that list. Some of those meals and drinks have some serious calories and grams of fat though.

Worst Beer
Sierra Nevada Stout (12 oz bottle)
210 calories
20 g carbohydrates

Okay this annoys me - not only because sierra nevada is one of my favorite brewers either.

But if you're going to be drinking alcohol, you're not a health nut. Sorry - just doesn't work that way.

And if you're going to drink these light/low-cal/ultra-light/64 beers - you need to realize a few things.

Let's do some math here... MGD 64 has 64 calories... this is true. It also has just over 2 percent alcohol in it. Meaning - to get the same type of buzzas most other light beers, you have to drink twice as much, giving you 128 calories - putting it right in the mix (and higher than a lot) with all those othermainstays (coors light, miller lite, etc). The drink is a stupid marketing ploy, so don't think you're getting away with something by drinking itexcept looking stupid.

Secondly - I choose to drink good beer rather than light beer for the same reasons... generally speaking, the beers I drink will range in the 200 calories perserving area - which is more than your standard light beer. But guess what? I'm getting 1.5-2 times the amount of alcohol, and i'm getting real,hand-crafted ingredients - not preservatives and cheap factory line production ingredients that will have you on the toilet the next day. In the end -you're about 5 times better off, having paid close to the same amount to drink half the amount of liquid and get the same exact level of drunkness.

Moral of the story? I think it's +@%# they would throw solid beer companies like SN on a list like this because they look at the nutritional informationout of context like that.

Well... at least the Outback Cheese Fries didn't make the list this year. Which is surprising cause I think they were #1 last year. If there was an Outbackany closer to my house I'm not sure I'd still be alive.

Fast metabolism FTW!!
Yes sir. I'm enjoying it while I still can.

7. Worst Sandwich of 2009

Quizno's Tuna Melt (large)
2,090 calories
175 g fat (31 g saturated fat, 2.5 g trans fats)
2,190 mg sodium

What is in this that makes it so calorie dense?

I think Promised Land Chocolate Milk should take the title of "Worst Chocolate Milk."

For 16 oz of Promised Land chocolate milk, you're looking at:
~480 calories
~20 grams of fat (12 saturated)
~62 grams of sugar

I'm going to guess high amounts of mayo and cheese.

......i feelinsulted just reading that #@*% smh.

Reading these lists the last few years has really hit home for me as far as eating out. In other words I dont do it. I would say Im up to 90% of my weekly foodintake made from my house.

I mean, I would never order or buy most the foods/drinks on these lists....but I've frequented the restaurants from time to time and can see how bad thingscan get even if you HALVED these items. And it takes lists and info like this to really show you what you eat when you go out to eat.

Better diet habits FTW

And lastly, taking aside the king Heath Bar Shake
laugh.gif
you have somethinglike the Jamba Juice Peanut Butter smoothie...some poor guy is walkin in there and ordering that knowing it's not the healthiest thing but probably nothaving any clue it's got nearly FOUR Mountain Dew cans worth of sugar in just one drink, SMH Jamba Juice are you serious

3. Worst Starter of 2009
Uno Chicago Grill Pizza Skins (full order)
2,400 calories
155 g fat (50 g saturated)

guilty of this one, pizza skins are crack .....

Lastyear's #1
1. The Worst Food in America

Outback Steakhouse Aussie Cheese Fries with Ranch Dressing

cheesefries.jpg

2,900 calories
182 g fat
240 g carbs

This weapon of mass construction is the caloric equivalent of eating 14 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, before your dinner arrives. Even if you split this "starter" with three friends, you'll have downed a dinner's worth of calories before your entree arrives. Follow this up with a steak, sides, and a dessert and you could easily break the 3,500 calorie barrier.

I'm screwed.

Nowitness, what age did you notice a change?
