Help buying a Wii?

I've searched eveywhere. They're all out - online and in-store.

Anyone know when stores in NYC receive the next shipment?
Will I have an luck getting this online for retail?

keep calling your local stores to check up on them. at least find out when their huge shipments come in so you'll be in the "know".

I won't be able to reserve one over the phone, will I?
If I'm the first guy in there tomorrow morning, will I find the Wii on the shelf? Or will I have to ask for them?

bestbuy and target usually get their shipment of wii's during saturday night/sunday morning before opening. just go there during sunday morning and youusually a couple mom's lined up. call them up.

yea just line up on sunday mornings,check the ads. and yea you'll see a bunch of moms and some resellers as well. good luck finding one

There are never any shipments on a Sunday morning or Saturday night. I work at Best Buy and the Wii's we get for ad hold we get like a week before thead. We got 306 Wii's earlier this week and we sold 100 throughout the week and are holding the rest of the 206 for tomorrow's ad. But for the threadstarter just check the Best Buy's in your area tomorrow morning and you should get one.

well i dunno if it's all of them but i have been calling around here in my area the past few weeks and that's what i got. i finally got one lastsunday for my little cuzin. so just call around.

I know Wal-Mart in my area gets a shipment every Wednesday or something.

Just call a few stores and ask them when their next shipment is coming in.

Okay. I just called the Best Buy in Ithaca. They'll be getting them tomorrow. They suggested I line up 7 or 8am and they'll give out tickets.

Got mine at Costco about a month and a half ago. Bundle pack, extra Wii mote, batteries, and an extra game for like 329.99. I'm pretty sure Costco will begetting shipments untill Christmas.

I'm not trying to boast or anything but i've been flipping Wiis on ebay all month... so here is my advice..

GO EARLY ON THE WEEKDAYS! Calling them doesn't do anything... you have to actually physically be there and just try to get lucky... I live in the Bay Area,and from what i hear Wiis are few and far between... but i've been able to snag a few on every trip i make... so it really isn't that hard if you guysjust go out and look.

I'm sure you guys have been looking very hard and all... but the stores usually say 'Come back Sunday..." Well that's a load of crap. Tue/Wedare usually my hottest days, especially at Wal-Mart and Toys R Us... Target not so much... Good luck tryna find em you guys...

yeah i see just the most basic packs go for 400$ and if you get a extra wiimote with the wiiplay they go for over 500$, i need to pay some bills. my best buyis getting them monday you better believe ill be there

I'd say 20%. ..Maybe.

Serves all these dumb soccer moms well to be paying resell prices on ebay. The wii is a novelty plain and simple. Turns out the execs at Nintendo were damngeniuses.

word, last sunday during chalktalk they told us we had about 105 that we were holding for THIS sunday. we sold about 80 of em throughout the weel andhad 18 left on thursday night. i went in today to pickup this weeks schedule and a co worker told me we got a truck lastnight with about 110 more wiis, ALL ofwhich will be up for grabs tomorrow morning. throughout the last 7 days i mustve had 200+ people asking for them and i told them that TOMORROW is the day, toget to the store at the EARLIEST 8am, 6am if they can so they can nearly guarantee themselves a console.

If you're not up for waking up early on Sunday and lining up, you should just call around during the week. I picked mine up from Best Buy last week. Likesomebody above said, Tuesday and Wednesday are when stores generally get shipments. Just keep calling around and you should find some. If you can, call in theafternoon around 2 or 3 PM. Then just go grab one when you're off of work or out of school.
