Originially named the Air Trainer SC. This shoe released in the late 1980s to early 90s in three fairly similiar colorways. Each one had a white base as shownbelow:

Much like the air trainer 1s, the retros didn't begin production until 2000. The first retro was in 2000 with the limited run of the medicine balltrainers. The other two subsequent OG colorways were then released in 2000-2001. Whats shown below is the retro releases from 2000 to 2007 of the Nike AirTrainer "SC" III

(I dont have the full info on the release years, so I'll post that data in complete form when I arrive at that point. If any of yall own any of theseair trainers, can you send me the Production Number and Release Year.)
-for now there is no chronological order

Feel free to post up any thoughts or photos or missing releases. im 95% sure thats all of em.

thanks for sharing.

although i still prefer the 1's.

Wallyhopp, u should prolly do a history lesson for every trainer every week to skool the youngins.

maybe Trainer II SC Low (my favorites) for the next lesson ?

Awesome post man. Those white ones with the gum soles and those gray ones with the white soles are incredible. I would love to have those in my collection.

bustin.. one of the only two trainers that dont have plastic on the uppers, are the two that you named off. One all leather and the other suede. they barelysold at MSRP on ebay. definetly keep up with that if you have that need for them.

Nice idea on the weekly preaching the knowledge posts lol.

my first lesson was with the retro air trainer 1s. I then did some photoshop work recreating each retro model. I may go back down to the air trainer 1beginning, and evaluate the history of the orginial up THROUGH the retros. That's truely a tough task.

For now its been the easiest task with the retro photographic posts.

History Lesson #1 .AT1 Retros for reference:

great idea also...will think about a lesson about the ATC line

I never noticed how the OG medicine balls and the retros differed in color until you posted the OG ad... Seems like the OGs have a 'richer' tone tothem... and I would like more info on the reverse-red/black/white iiis... Euro release?

yo, no doubt... some of these youngsters need to know that Trainers were cool way before they were associated with 'Supreme' and'SB'...

clean and simple...

anybody know if they ever made an SC with the choloro colorway?

ksmith, I dont think ive seen one correct og colorway being retroed be correct 100%. there is always something off. namely a few shades of a color. But iveseen other OG medicine ball photos and other retro photos and in different lighting situations, the difference is less noticeable. Not perfect, but real close.

As far as I know, there was 3 euro-co.jp releases.
Medicine ball trainers were limited produced EU release
Celtics were a footlocker EU release i think.
and lastly, the reverse white/red/black is a co.jp type release. Its one of the most rare shoes out there imo. but even on ebay, it wouldnt sell very well asits not even known about it or sought after

freshkicks, did you get that DS pair on ebay in sz 10-10.5? what an amazing pair. my sz12 came in last week. although its used and yellowed and dirty, its alli could find in years of looking. so i wear what i can

^ Yup.....i'm looking for a DS pair of the wht/gry/royal blue OG color but finding those in DS shape is almost impossible let alone finding a pair period.
