Surveillance video shows a BMW sedan jumping the sidewalk and mowing down the man and his eight-year-old son.

The car pushed the victims through an apartment building's gate.

Police say the driver then slashed the father's face with a knife while a passenger acted as lookout.

The victims were taken to the hospital and are expected to be ok.

Glad, they're ok. Since, there were witnesses hopefully someone identifies those murderous fools.

It was personal. They'll be caught. NYC is rivaling London when it comes to surveillance.

If that was the case he would know better then to be walking down the street with hid kid. SMH for trying to take out the kid too
Feel for the kid but there's no rules in that ****, if that is the case here

Collateral damage.

There are rules...depending on who you're dealing with...not always followed though.

License plate clear as day. White BMW with front end damage. Tons of cameras per and post incident. You gotta be do dumb to do this in broad daylight in NY.

Interested in the backstory.

Car wasnt even going fast enough for the airbags to deploy.

Frontal air bags are generally designed to deploy in "moderate to severe" frontal or near-frontal crashes, which are defined as crashes that are equivalent to hitting a solid, fixed barrier at 8 to 14 mph or higher.

Even through the pixels it seems the Dad saw it coming and froze.

I'm sensing there is a woman involved...

Aggravated vehicular assault is part of NYS bail reform.

You can run someone over I broad daylight, and be back on the streets by dinner time.
