I know it's early but I am curious, as I have not had the opportunity to wear mine yet.

The Varsity VI's midsole looks like it will hold up better than on myRetro Infrared VI's (the chipping) and also the toebox seems like itwould not crease as much. Your feedback would be appreciated.

The odds of chipping or creasing would seem to be reduced greatly by the fact that the midsole in this shoe is extremely stiff, inflexible.

So much so, that i bought them back.

i always read about the cdp4s havin that real bad...yet i look at one of my friends pair who wears them all the time...and no chipping...

how does this whole paint chipping thing work anyway...?

no chipping on the paint and its not ashy at all. i thought it was a wrong pickup for me. guess i was wrong.

^ yeah they have a certain brand new smell to them, quality is really on point too. But damn they weigh as much as a brick compared to Kobe Vs but still they are really fresh! can't wait to wear my pair

And oh yeah they fit big IMO I'm a true size 13 and I fit really well
in a sz12 on these

For me, they hurt a little bit on my pinkies but I have flat feet so maybe thats the problem. I have only used them for walking, because I think these would not have a good Basketball review

My OGs crumbled years ago, but i don't remember them feeling as stiff, narrow, or high off the ground at the forefoot, as these do.

Was a bit sloppy on my pair too.

Combined, all these factors were a bit much for me, and i bought them back.

I was disappointed in my VI's, after looking forward to them for a long time.  They were very stiff and rubbed the top/front of my ankle. Only wore them once and sent them back to Eastbay. Cosmetically they were awesome. No painting or glue issues. I do expect better performance out of a $150 shoe.

i found them pretty comfortable. no rubbing issues and all that. hit the with fl waterproofer and brushed and they were super black. i thought that these were some of the more comfortable retros that i picked up in a while.
