Does anyone work at a place or know of places that
give these out for free when they're trying to get rid of them?

Check out your local grocery store and see if they have some out back sitting around they can get rid of.

The pallets you're going to get for free are going to be busted as %+*@. If you want to make furniture out of them, go buy some new ones. They are not expensive.

OP where i work we give them away, try checking out a wholesale club (bj's, sam's club, costco) or some smaller distributors.
what state are you in OP?  try checking craigslist.  they have little to no value so most of the time places give them away if you ask

i checked craigslist but they're not really close to me, and I don't have a truck, wouldn't want to be making long

trips with them hanging out my trunk

My friend built a coffee table out of one (He had to cut it, obviously) and it came out nice.  It's OD though, a bed would be cool 'cause you can hide it with covers.  Couches though, [IMG].
You'll get busted ones at supermarkets, I used to work in one and we would only throw out the busted ones.  We had to send the good ones back to the warehouse.

He stained it, and put a glass top on it.  It was well done.

it makes sense, people with money love dressing like poor people.

this is just the next step.

You don't want used ones trust me. They have rat piss and *$$! all over them. I guarantee you have a pallet company in your local major metropolitan area. They have different sizes and they are inexpensive.
