pardon the ignorance i never use the site. my friend says he saw a low mile range rover 2008 for around 8 grand. he said it might be a scam.

how can you get scammed unless you send your credit card #? isnt this site like a classified ad? cant you just go and see the car or something? im notgetting the scammed bit

i know it sounds too good to be true but...

LOL... those are nigerian scammers.. stay away from them. They want you to send them money when they claim to ship you the car and has some kind of "ebayprotection" bs.

asymmetric information. he knows something you don't, even if you do get to see the vehicle.

most likely that range was bought at auction after an accident and has a salvage titled. the company fixed it up, and they are selling it now to make a profit.

watch out for those sneaky Nigerians

It says on the main page that if someone is offering to ship a car it's a scam

the scamz i am aware of is the sending of fake checks for the item you are selling. when i was 15 i was selling some my 20'' inch rims off my hooptyand random dude from far far away was like i want it im sending a check, uh oh my secratery made a mistake and made the check out for 3500 deduct your amounand have the rest wired to me and my movers will pick the item up from you later on this week.

when i got that check i was like

and then my fam told me it might be fake so dont cash it. so i started collecting them i have over 15 of them as of rightnow. i always play along with it and just put them up in my room. when i have chicks over they be like

RULE #1 OF CRAIGSLIST:

if it looks to good to be true, IT IS. no "probably". IT IS.

Ask homeboy who got the okie doke in the apt buildin for like $200+. Dudes like that scammer and them Nigerians are bad for business. If anybody mentionshipping of some sorts, its a scam b/c cl is posed to be local. If u do decide to meet w/ somebody, meet in a well lit public place and don't go alone

Ain't just a #1 rule of CL, but LIFE. Also if you do meet ups, bring a homie and heat if you're doing a big transaction.

i've been strapped selling a few things on cg. mainly rims though, i have made thousands off craigslist from rims to calculators. you name i have sold iton craigslist. and yeah it is safe to have a heater with you doing such. had it on me when i sold my last car for 4stacks.

Shipping cars is a scam, only deal with local pple and if you are going to look @ something/buy meet in a public or well lit place and bring someone with you.

Even if you see the car and actually purchase it you can get scammed.

I remember on the news like last year a guy bought his daughter a Sentra for like 4 grand.

Car ended up being stolen.

Lost the car and the $.

Just use your head.

Obviously its a scam ...

Even if it was a 907 title that Range would be more then 8g's.

3 things you need for CL.....

condoms
firearm
and a side order of COMMON SENSE!!!

tickets stacked up on the car, then its your responsibility to pay the tickets or let it get impounded
