How long is TOO long when being put on "hold?"

It depends. If I'm trying to order something their isn't really a time limit.

I remember I called Paypal since my account got locked and I just put it on speakerphone and let it chill while I played some halo, and when they put me backon I checked and it said I was talking for 45 minutes

I would of been pissed if I was actually on the phone waiting

i give everyone 5 min, no matter who it is they are getting hung up on at 5.

i'm pretty patient and can wait up to 10 minutes.

but really, 3 minutes is already too long.

If it's customer service and it's important to me I'll wait as long as it takes if that's the only way I can get whatever I need
I just put the phone on speaker and watch TV or something

but in a casual conversation, if you think you're gonna be on the other line for a little bit, just say you'll call me back.. i've had a couplegirls put me on hold for so long that i just hang up.

i get impatient after 2 minutes
