How to choose between these two? NEED HELP NOW!!!

Hey guys, I am looking to choose between these two, the AJ 23 and the AJ 2009. Can anyone give me any advice? on their performance etc.? The main purpose is to play basketball (mostly outdoor), rather than collection. 

I know there are lots of performance review, but I would still like someone with experience (well, not necessarily) to compare them directly.

Never hooped in either but the 09 looks high off the ground with that awkward looking heel.
The XX3 might pinch your toes if you have narrow feet with the plastic near the toe box, they feel low to the ground though if that's what you're looking for.

2009s are basura. I saw a dude wear them once to ball, and the front part of the raised heel was torn and flopping around :x
