hypothetically speaking....NBA MVP

LeBron is putting up the best numbers in the league, for the best team in the league so he is MVP

East is pretty much the same.

cavs magic are the elite teams
celts, hawks, raptors, bucks are either on decline or too young to do anything significant.

THe difference between east and west isnt what it used to be.

Lebron and the cavs record against the west has been great the last 2 years, he beat durant by blocking his game winner, and his stats are better.

Durant deserves 2nd but hopefully he gets some more exposure, him being silent like duncan dont help when you have some "analysts" that look at personality or reputation
The #8 seed in the East is 32-31, 1 game over .500.The #8 seed in the West is 40-28, 12 games over. Houston is the 10th seed at 33-31.

LeBron is putting up the best numbers.

LeBron is the best player in the league.

Cavs have the best record in the league.

Not sure how it can be an argument no matter the criteria used.

And Westbrook got better, Green improved...they picked up Selfolsha, drafted Harden....the team grew as a whole...it's not just KD all of the sudden carrying some bums. Prior years with a team as young as the Thunder is basically irrelevant.

Because there is a man named LeBron James and his junk is repeatedly jammed in David Stern's mouth. Therefore no matter what happens LeBron will win MVP.

yeah Thunders made so much improvement from last season and honestly, this team can grow. but as for KD being a MVP, its not happening because bron is putting up the best numbers playing for the best team.

The EAST isnt as bad as a few years ago, but dont act like the 2 conferences are on par with each other.

Lebron is beast, but the east is still the J.V. conference.

You are leaving the part out where he actually deserves to win.

Thunder without Durant > Cavs without Bron
They had Durant last season and had 59 losses and 62 before that. they didnt pick up anyone significant last off season other than drafting Harden. Your logic sucks, sorry.

the west is still stacked.

lebron is the obvious answer. he should and will get mvp

but i don't like the argument about best record. that record is against the east. the 9-11 teams would make the playoffs in the east.

--Eh, its alright to hypothetically speak...
--But realistically speaking the MVP is goin to Bron.

Without Kobe's 6 game winners, the Lakers are 5th seed in the West. Possibly worse.

KD will probably have a few MVP trophies with his name on them in the future, but it would be a joke if anyone other than Lebron won it this year.

Kevin Durant has less chance of winning it this year than Dwyane Wade did of winning it last year. And Wade had little chance.

There is no traditional argument with which MVPs are usually chosen for Durant over LeBron. Your arguments are better suited for making Kevin Durant Most Improved Player rather than Most Valuable Player.

Without Lebron, the Cavs are 7th-9th seed in the East. With Lebron, they have the best record in the NBA.

What will be interesting is who takes the scoring title, Bron is at 29.9 ppg while KD is at 29.8, will be interesting to see if they are tied in ppg going into the last game of the season, will we have a David Thompson/George Gervin type situation.

Really who cares. Let Lebron win it. I'd rather KD to just keep gettin better and doing what he's doing. They're all elite players and Lebron is obviously at the top right now. Difference is...Lebron is a !@%! and KD is actually a cool dude. All I really notice...

Bron
30 points a game
7 rebounds a game
8.5 assists a game

Durant is the same with six less assists. And his team's record is worse.
