    Eh?

The guy who didn't say anything and kept it movin was the one who started the altercation when the guy holding the door gave a sarcastic thank you (insteadof a "you're welcome").

Or did they word that wrong - hearsay and didn't get any story side from the 50 yr old victim?

i always say "thank you," when someone opens the door for me. but if the other person doesn't when i hold the door for them, i usually just keepit moving. although sometimes, if it's a double set of doors and they didn't thank me, i let the second door slam on them [IMG]

although it would be funny if the judge makes that navarro guy say "thank you" to the guy he assaulted, on top of whatever fine or sentence he gets.

This bothers me when I do this and people dont say thank you. I usually say thank you or your welcome very loud and i try to let the door slam on them.

i hold it open for people all the time even if they are more then a couple of steps away. however i don't expect a thank you nor do i say it when it isheld open for me. if you hold the door open you are doing it to be nice, i don't see why you need the gratification of being thanked. imo if you hold thedoor open for someone it is common sense that they are thankful, no need for any words.

Go back and read it again.

Thank yous are always in order, when someone holds the door for me, and vise versa.

Females nowadays don't say thank you either. Im a true gentleman. I hold doors, say good morning ect. These chicks think too much of them self to say HI orthanks. I aint trying to pick up, Im just being nice. When they don't say thank you, I feel like saying "YOU'RE FAT" or "YOU GOT BIGTITTIES". Or treat them like crap, cause obviously that's what they used to, and that's what them want.

I always do this. I guess common courtesy is a lost art nowadays. If I'm on the phone, I'll smile (if the person is a female) or nod my head (if theperson is a male).

This is stupid though. I'm not sure what he'll be charged under, but it sounds like a felony to me. He'll be lucky to get that reduced to amisdemeanor.
