Those charity version retro 2's would've been dope with NIKE AIR.

Maybe NIKE AIR was not on the retro 3's, 4's, 5's or 6's because JB will save it for the packs next year packs. Or maybe not. lol.

Imma be real logical with you. Everything happens for a reason, Right? They replaced NIKE AIR for a reason. None of these cats out here know the real reason why. What I mean by that is that if you really really think about it, none of us know the REAL reason why it was removed. All we know is that we are educated by one another. And that other is educated by another. We all educate each other in our own ways. Until whoever that designed these shoes come up to you and tell you the REAL reason why, then we are all just spreading rumors. YADA? THINK. Nobody really knows the real reason why. We just hear from a superior and we say "OK" Even if someone had connections, they still heard it from somebody, probably not TINKER??

Simply, we don't know. we don't care.
    Like it ? Adore it.
    Don't like it? Move on.

First of all, like every other company and every individual, JB is not perfect. I think that JB was trying to convert most Swooshes to Jumpman's back in '04 (and even some time before that), but Gentry had not officially come out and said that there would be no more Swooshes at that time. So let's just say that they let "NIKE" slip on the '04 Retro 2's. But that is their policy from here on out as Gentry has stated, and it is reflected on the new Charity 2's. The only Air Jordan that is exempt from this policy are the 1's. They tried putting a Jumpman in place of the big Swoosh once and I don't think that went over too well so they've released them with a Swoosh ever since. The 1's are the only shoe where removing the Swoosh results in basically changing the design of the shoe. On all the other models, the Swoosh or NIKE is simply brand tagging. That's my $0.02. Hope that helps!

look at Lexus and Infinity? its the same thing for Air Jordan now. Air Jordan is the "luxury" division of Nike. sure back in the OG days, III to VI carry the "NIKE AIR" emblem. but now they're going the Jumpman way. i personally preffer to see NIKE AIR on future retro 3 - 6, but if they want to put the Jumpman on them there's nothing wrong really. it's the "division's" decision. putting NIKE AIR on Air Jordans is like putting TOYOTA on LEXUS and NISSAN on INFINITY.

^But were talking about shoes made under the NIKE Brand. Yea I'm fine with anything made now having the jumpman but the 1-6 were made By NIKE not Jordan Brand. Your reasoning is not correct.

Your reasoning is not correct,It's like Lexus coming out with a retro of a 88 Camry and sticking their symbol on it.

LOL...........why do people trip on the whole "Nike" vs. Jumpman logo? This man has an entity that is separate from Nike, and has been since the original release of the shoes that had the Nike logo on them. If you people had a product that fell under a corporation, but it got so big that it could stand on your own, you'd want your logo on your product too! It's truly your opinion if you think the Jumpman logo messes up these shoes, but most of the world has fallen in love with that little flying man, so just learn to accept that.

^Piss on OG collectors, buy stock if you want to invest in something.

OG's will be OG's no matter what, you can't wear most of the OG's that had NIKE AIR.

forever23-- are the first pic of 2s you posted fakes or are they the KO or something?

Anyway bottom line is that people want the exact replica of what originally released. There is no reason that shoes originally released before Jordan Brand existed with Nike Air and swooshes can't be retro'd that way. Any alterations are going to make a lot of people dissatisfied.

They should have left the Nike on the back, but if any Jordan changes Nike to Jumpmans it's the IIs.
