Really interesting Tah... Good find. I can relate to him on wanting to be respected by your peers though, in whatever field one enters...

    Shame.

He would school any defender on a nightly basis, even made Pip look foolish at times.

I don't think people don't really understand how good Penny was. People look at numbers and go "Oh well Wade's way better than Penny everwas" and *$%* like that but anyone who was around to watch Penny from his time at M St. to his last year @ Orlando understand just how ridiculouslyremarkable that dude was on the floor. Damn shame what happened to him.

Can only imagine how good the Magic would of been if Hardaway and O'Neil would of played together all there careers.

I can honestly say that he was my FAVORITE player when Mike retired... even when he came back Penny was still my guy. He holds a spot in my heart as a fan thatno other player besides Mike has.

I remember when he got drafted and traded to Orlando and the fans were booing I was saying they're crazy they don't understand what they just got. Hewas thee truth in his day, like Magic before him, he honestly paved the way for guys like Bron and McGrady.

Will always be appreciated in my book

Penny had me wearing one armband on my forearm and holding my arm up at like a 90 degree angle to protect the ball while dribbling.

He should've joined up with Phoenix this season. just by looking at how they've resurged the careers of Grant Hill, Shaq, and maybe Strom.

i still remember that game against New Jersey when Penny and D. Wade put up a good game!!!

Penny was simply THAT DUDE. Who the hell knows what we would be saying about him now if those knees didn't get hurt so often.[IMG]

I'll never forget the Summer of either 2001 or 2002 when Long Beach State still had the Summer Pro League out here. Penny was runnin with the Suns and tosee this guy be the 12th man on the bench, looking like it hurt him to even get up to give dap to the guys coming off, it was [IMG]. There was mad kids yelling "Penny! Penny! Can I get an auto?" andhe was so annoyed by it and just told them to get the hell on. Sad day.

My lil brother was on dude from his college days. Bought those blk/ whte striped Air Ups to hoop in. Told me he was going to be that dude before he touched NBAhardwood. I watched him from day one & wasnt disappointed during his early years in Orlando.

Penny was a beast! I hate that injuries cut his career short. I'll never forget the Miami series when he was on fire!
