As a freshman, internships will be hard for you to come by. I suggest you walk over to your career services office and follow all the formalities required.Then you can begin applying to positions and attending information sessions. Also, look into any clubs/organizations/honor societies related to your major.
And while an internship related to your major is great, don't disregard unrelated ones because they will provide you with a learning experience to help foryour next internship.
