colder temperatures make the cell membrane of viruses "harder" ..

thus allowing the virus to survive for a longer time outside of a host.

ie. linger on a surface or maintain viability when airborne...

colder weather makes it easier to get sick

I got a cold right now man :smh: this is day 2 for me. Sudafed and nasal spray have been keeping me functional but I need this to go away

Yep. Also, people are typically indoors for longer periods of time with others when is cold which gives more opportunities for it to spread.

i remember years ago when i would get sick it'd be a common cold take meds you're better in 1-3 days. now it seems it takes 4-14 days to get over a common cold. for me at least. all the symptoms last longer now, regardless of the type of meds you take.

anybody?

Your immune system is getting weak. I'd get that check ASAP OP!

2 weeks for a common cold? Yikes. RIP OP!
