Skimmed, will check out tomorrow. Seems like Facebook slightly acknowledges it in the past though saying they're more responsible now.

He's not saying anything that's profound or different:

    - Capital markets are overvalued.
    - There are a lot of sh-tty startups that are completely BS and get bought out at ridiculous valuations.
    - Social media is ripping apart the social fabric of society -- there's no point of return or hard break for consumers though.

Social media is to common human interaction as porn is to sex. It's removed all of the awkwardness and gives you purely what you want. Thing is, I think the awkwardness is what builds character.

As I've said in another thread, this is the biggest it's ever been and it's going to something to society. I don't know what exactly but it's gonna do something.

It's basically an electronic drug. The engineers have made the too good.

Some of those black mirror episodes will be coming true soon.

Social Media is a tool. You can use it one way...or another way. Build or destroy.

I think the conversation needs to be what is happening in everyday life that causes people to use social media the way that they do.

NT the closest thing I ever had to social media. I quit video games a while back for the same reason. I’d rather have real life experiences. Everyone taking pictures of their food and snap chatting every single thing they do are slowly getting groomed into this auxiliary form of living life without realizing it. “Stop and smell the roses” as they say. Enjoy the experiences you have in life without feeling the need to document everything to gain approval from the next person.

    Yes.

Technology is making our society lazy, impatient, anti-soacial and an attention seeking fiend manic.

Social Media feeds off of everyone’s insecurities, escaping the reality of their actual life.

People can’t even have 5 mins convos at the table with their families/friends/ loves ones without using the phone...

People going to concerts to record on their phone and watching a concert on their phone when they’re right there...smh

Everybody is worrying about others and not enjoying the blessing in their own lives.

    Sad times, b.

I'm addicted to Facebook. I never post but it's entertaining to see people doing the most for likes. Got women out here showing their bodies, people posting their salaries and credit scores trying to flex, people snitching on themselves, ect. Social media is wild.

You'd be surprised how many ppl would rather stay in their clueless bubbles/worlds

I don’t consider NT to be social media.

Facebook, SnapChat, IG, etc.. now those I consider social media.

NT keeps me infromed at times..outside of that, I use IG to keep up with sports and bitcoin news..

The rest of that stuff, I don’t indulge in.

Homie, no stalker ish but ive seen you in the father thread. You and everyone else post heir families and stuff on there, ppl post their personal lives stories on here in different threads, etc etc.

    NT IS social media.

But to each to their own.
