Is this jacket a "prototype"?

Back in the mid-90's I worked for Athlete's World in Canada (like Footlocker). I won this jacket as part of a country wide sales competition. When I received it, I was told it was a "prototype". I'm guessing a sales sample done up for the buyers, but not ordered; and then used as a prize. Over the years, I've periodically looked around to find other examples of it.

My question to you Nike historians..... has anyone ever seen another example of this jacket? Was it really a prototype?
