...yeah, if you know anything about the quality of JB nowadays this is to be expected. JB knows they're putting out a inferior product, but also knows sneakerheads can't resist some of the classic Jordans.

My pair, worn a total of about 5 times has substantial midsole cracking.

i did something like that years ago:
used to clean air bubbles w/ q-tip & h20/alcohol mix
until i noticed i was taking the wht paint off the midsole
and scuffing up the plastic on the bubble

in the long run this will just help you take better care better of your sneakers
 
just paint em.  go to your local crafts store and they will have a color to match em up with.  Very easy fix.  Good Luck
 
and now that i remember, the same thing happened to me with my 01 cement 3s...paint quality is def poor
