Hi Guys,

Hope you can help again, Bought another pair of Deadstock Jordan 1’s and went for the Nigel Sylvesters as I think they look awesome, They also mean something to me as I used to BMX for 7 years and I also collect vintage rap/hip hop t shirts so love the vintage look of the shoes.

I am pretty sure these are genuine just for the fact that all the high end reps the distressed scuff marks, the yellowing and the sole underneath look bad, buts its always good to double check. They came with receipt again and I checked the skate shop they came from who did sell them on their site.

Pictures below, if you need any more please let me know.

These are legit in my opinion.
You are right, the replica sellers do not make any good pairs from what I saw, and I don't think any off them have tried to update their batches, this pair seems hard to replicate. These also don't pop up on eBay often, hardly any of which are fake.

Yes the fakes dont even look like they have brush strokes on the scuffs like the real pair do.

I still cant tell the difference in the tox box area between fake vs real jordan 1’s though

Yeah the shape could be hard to see, especially the toe box. Some people can't even see a bad swoosh and that usually easier to catch. The differences are small but replica sellers make their shoes more straight then they should be and they look a bit more box shaped then retail pairs, and they also sometimes use higher cuts of leather making the toe box a bit bigger then it should be. The leather they use is also not right, they usually use stiffer leather, or too tumbled leather, and the color may be a shade off. Some sellers do have batches with very decent looking toe boxes.

Look at this fake pair from calisnkrs compared to mine, the differences may be very subtle, but his shoes are more stiff and straight, and the leather is wrong.

Some fakes are really close to retail, in my opinion, like the ones on these albums:
