Jordan 5s wolf greys

I just got a ds pair of the 5s in wolf Grey but they have this nasty rubber smell to them. Is that normal? The shoes themselves look legit, I've spent a good while looking for flaws but found none. Its just the smell that is tripping me out. Seems to originate from the clear soles..
