Another year down. Very interesting year as there were many classics released and some could be had for under retail. That said there was some absolute trash released as well (the snowman 8s). What were your favorites, sleepers, and overall thoughts for the year?

I personally only bought a few pairs this year, and was able to get a few under retail. I am happy with the year and look forward to 2019

This year really shows that new cw, Jordan Brand releases are either well-thought out releases that sell out instantly (Unions, OW, Travis 4, Court Purples, Spidey 1s, etc. etc.) or sales bin bound GR garbage.

The brand has long lost consistency in releases but that may be a symptom of the almost weekly retro releases.

Biggest disappointments have to be the 12s. I was really hyped for the Vachettas and International Flights. Vachettas were ok... a little stiff but I probably should have went a half sized down, but the size 12 womens mold looks kinda off to me. Loved the concept of the IFs but I felt like the quality was lacking, the suede just felt hard and cheap. Clots over took them last minute because the concept was cool and the execution and quality were both superior, but it is a much more limited release in all fairness. However, that doesn't change the fact that the suede on previous 12s like the Bord and Dark Greys are much nicer the the so called Premium IFs.

I really wanted the TS4s when they dropped, but I don't really care about them anymore. Kinda wanted Spidermans but not that big of a deal either. Also still kinda want Hyper Royal 13s.

Most AJ 1's were dope imo minus Nigel's, and Guava Ice. Even though TS 4's were cool, I'll take Raptor 4's any day over them. CNY 6's were fire also.

What a great year! To me, it was the year of the 1s. My personal top 5 is:

2018 was the year that brought me back to the shoe game ... This and My son being old enough to say "wear dada shoes" had me hooked ...

Hadn't purchased a pair of Jordan's in 10 years but copped about 5 pairs and plan to step it up in 2019 ...

The year that got me back fully into Js. Maybe it was the Lack of hype on the ones I really wanted (unions aside). Wasn't remotely tempted by OWs I have to say... anyway:

New generation, not much appreciation for classic models. Everything these days is lightweight, flyknit, flywire.....
