The leather on these desert 3’s remind me of the leather on the 30th anniversary triple black leather huarache’s. Supple & Soft. The triple black huarache is a thinner cut though, so it’s softer.

But the color combo just ain’t for everyone. Black and brown doesnt Typically flow and throw in orange which is a polarizing color

I think it just depends on how they were stored I have DS pairs from the mid to late 2000’s that are still extremely firm on the midsole and wearable.

I have pairs from that time frame, I finally started wearing and I didn’t have any issues. I live in Florida. All of my shoes are in the box , my AC is blowing almost yr round…

Sounds good to me, not saying my method is the best or anything but I’ve just always kept my sneakers In the box in a cool dry area and haven’t had any issues with my midsoles breaking. I had a pair of 2000 infras start to get mushy on me once but I sold them before they completely crumbled.

You better sell or wear them man. You should have no issue yet. Midsole paint might start cracking immediately though.

These with olive chino's, cashmere sweater, and. brown leather jacket 
when it gets colder. Thats when the versatility of these will really shine I love these sleeper colorways of III's. Last year it was patchwork, this year its Desert Elephants.
