Heres a story...the first pair of XI's I ever bought were FAKE! lol...I didnt know any better...

yeah the black red XI brought me back in after in had lost interest after the VIII. i distinctly remember going up a shopping mall escalator in '97 andthis little kid behind me exclaimed to his mum (in really elogated intonation of awe) "whooooah mum, look at his shoooooooes. they must have cost afoooortune!"

I walked into the flight club. Looked at the price. Walked back out.

I missed my first class the day the Concord's came out when I was a freshman in high school but no biggie. I HAD to have these since I missed out on theOGs as a kid and it cut me deep, while everybody was in class like I should have been I was at footaction when the door opened!!!!
