Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

I'm 26, thought I made it past hype and sneakers. Black Friday last year, the 4s dropped, I have been on a war path since. Getting the 13s, 5s, 8s, and 1s. And today, the fire red 3s.

Previously my last cop was the 6s and 11 DMP pack. I do still have a nice collection from late 90s early 00s.

What did JB do to get my service back? How many of y'all came out of retirement from the black red 4s.

I didn't come out of retirement, I'll never RETIRE but I'm trying to slow down in a large way. You sound like me so I figured I'd post. I went on a little spree starting with the Olive 9s last year & picked up damn near every retro release through the thunder 4. Then knicks 1s & black/red 13s...realized what I did & stopped. Started selling some pairs I didn't NEED but picked up because of the allure/habit...then the black toe 1s came & I picked up a pair...flood gates opened again & I just grabbed control again after the toro 4/shadow grey 1.

I'm on a cycle right now, it's crazy how it happens without realizing it but lately I've been staying away from most new release threads & websites in general. I didn't even know about the 3s dropping today until mid last week. I knew they were coming but that was a surprise for today, that's what it has to be for me at least unless I really want them. Next pair I'll go after is the black/red 1(if all goes well lol) but if you want to stop then stay strong & stay away from the shoe threads. that's really the only thing I can tell you because something pulled you back to tell you the RD for these, just stay strong & fill your mind with new thoughts lol.

Take it from me, it works so well for me(as I post in the Jordan forum on NT)

I had slightly retired for a few years. In '11 the True Blues dropped and I copped 2 pairs of them. I had to get the Chicago X's last year. I ended up buying every single IV as well. Ended up buying like 14-15 pairs last year. This year they dropped all these I's that I had to cop plus all these IV's will be copped as well. With the price raise next year, I'm only copping OG colors, all IV's, and certain I's.

I try to get out and they bring me back in but this is the last time. I'm 27 and been doing this crap for 12 years. It's no longer fun. I can't wait till I'm out for good...

Never retired. It was easier back in the day because Jordan's always came out every 3-4 months. Beginning of NBA season, all-star/mj bday weekend, playoffs and maybe a summer shoe. 4x a year equal 4 easy pair of kicks. Now with the crazy releases of retros every month, things picked up. So actually it was reverse for me. Slow, ultra fast, now slowing again. I'm just about done with collected. After a few more releases next year, it will be very slow unless I can get my hand on limited kicks that I like. Also, I know it happens, but join date doesn't always mean anything. I was a not member since 99, but with site changes, and me having to create multiple profiles because for some reason my password would never work, doesn't correctly show when I was really apart of the not community. I still remember when snuggles mcduggles used to post new Jordan's. He would wear a black mask/hood to keep his identity a secret.

I've got all of y'all beat.  I'm 31 and before last year I hadn't copped a pair of Jordans since my first year of college in 2000.

They were a low pair of the white/navy that I picked up on clearance.

I've always liked shoes, but was not really much of a collector, but then something changed.

Honestly, I think it started with the whole Concord fiasco.

Since the Military Blues dropped last year, I've copped every major release and have gotten a lot more of the past releases through ebay.

I used to be a nut about Jordans and Foams but slowed down once I met my wife. Now that we been married for 2+ years, i'm back to my old ways.

18 pairs of shoes just this year and 3 pairs of nike slippers......................
