OP that is how my hair looks right now, and its not even that high or is Cudi's in that first video.

Just use a 2.5 to a 3inch guard when next you cut your hair to maintain that height, and a light taper.

it depends on how your hair is once you grow it out, some people have naturally curly hair and some people use those s curl kits

if you brush your hair enough the waves will end up looking like that when your hair gets longer
