The word socialism has been so warped by the repugnican party that I'm not sure where I stand anymore. I support a majority of "socialist" programs in this county and I am pro universal healthcare. But I also support capitalism as a concept.

Bingo. Because there are capitalist nations like Germany, every Scandanavian country and Canada that provide their citizens with benefits that would be considered socialist by Ken and Karen from Mississippi.
Repugnicans also have no trouble with using my taxes to provide socialist benefits for the rich and our exorbitant military budget.

It’s trash. I travel extensively, and the master plan is to be up and out of here for good, sooner than later. ‘Escaping’ in some form or fashion is the only way, for me. With this pandemic, we see that not even money can save you when the shh really hits the fan.

This is not so neatly packaged chaos, here. At the end of the day we are all pretending like **** is cool and it’s not.
A lot of us have known but to those that didn’t, the entire system was exposed in real time for all to see within the last few years. Whoever is still sleep chooses to be sleep IMO. Especially black people.

I cant say I disagree with what you said. I just find that when discussing capitalism, those opposed usually do not realize what they would need to sacrifice to completely do away with capitalism. They do not see the benefits and only focus on the negatives.
