it is indeed correct grammar wise, but the problem is the pronunciation of "they're". In that scenario, such pronunciation just doesn't soundright.

you guys need to remeber the 're is like an "are"

they ARE not

just depends how you use it

Correct. Take into account the sound of the sentence. If it doesn't sound right then use the two words.
