I could be wrong, but I don't think we've seen any official sample shots yet.  Are you sure you weren't looking at a concept rendering?  Or do you have insider info? haha

I hope the first drop isnt trash like the Kobe 9 EM

 

The firsty drop of the KB IX was the begining of the end. Meaning they started with the Prelude Pack ending and begining the New*

with the KB IX "Masterpiece"

 

They should really think about moving up the release date of Kobe's shoe in the future. Having it release in February when the season is half over seems pretty stupid. Having one if your signature athletes only play half of a season in his signature meanwhile Lebron and KD get a full season out of their shoes doesn't make sense either. If I were nike I would release KDs in July, Lebron in September, and Kobe in November.

 

I've emailed Nike about why the hell do they release signature shoes in Feb, which is halfway through the nba season, and the high school and college seasons are essentially over. Bad marketing. I think that Jordan brand was smart and finally went back to a September back to school release date. Hopefully Kobe's follow suite. He used to drop a colour at Xmas of whatever his new shoe was. Usually a limited release, and then he would have a January release.

I understood it last year... they had to push it back to February b/c Kobe wasn't playing until then, but it makes ZERO sense to continue that way.

They could make a killing the way they used to drop his brand new signature on Christmas Day, but Marketing Teams often outthink themselves.

 

That injury forced them to push his release back permanently. They can't change it now cause then theyd have to cut short the amount of colorways released (Im ok with that there are too many useless ones anyway) and they'd also have the IX/X overlapping and that's lost money cause people buy what's new.

 

Can't wait to see what they got cooked up in the kitchen for this release hopefully they don't look as cheesy as all the ppl renderings over the net.

Was about to put up the same picture. Man these are going to be hard to sell. I can't imagine this for ball at all. Or even the consistency here. This must be a sample and sample only.

Kinda look like a mix between KD VI, Zoom Vapors, and KB 8's.

 

Whatever it is, traction looks like it won't last long. Reminiscent of the Zoom Kobe III.

It still has the money shots left to be revealed (top and lateral), so hope is not lost.
