Laptop Help

The one I posted will be great for college. I'm not really into gaming but when I play dvds, they're not bad.

What I was looking for and was more inportant to me was:
Intel[emoji]174[/emoji] Core[emoji]8482[/emoji]2 Duo mobile processor T6400
4GB DDR2 memory
320GB hard drive (5400 rpm)
Built-in high-speed wireless LAN
Long battery life
Of up to 6 hours and 45minutes to give you more time away from an outlet.

Does that work out well?

Yeah, every Mac comes with a program called Boot Camp. Using Boot Camp you can install Windows on your Mac computer by creating a separate partition. OnceWindows is installed, Boot Camp gives you the option to startup into Mac OS X or Windows garbage XP orVista. So you can use your Windows to play games and your Mac to do literally everything else (and play games if you choose

)

oh make sure you get something that comes with Vista Premium or above (Vista Basic isn't eligible for a free Windows 7 upgrade)

With windows on a Mac can I use it just the same as if it were a pc or are there things that I have to go on the mas OS in order to use?

how would someone upgrade to said windows 7 when it comes out?

when I've asked CSRs they are pretty vague, something about a download, I would still prefer a disk.

ask when you purchase the computer.

purchases made after June 26th I think or around then. definitely not older purchases, you actually missed a window to upgrade for $50. Now to upgrade you needto wait til launch date: Oct 22, and it'll be like $100.

IHaveMyOwnOp Do you need any special programs? Anything specific or some special function you use the laptop for?

I don't know if it was just a fluke, but every person I know with a Dell has had to send it in to get fixed at least twice. I've had my ToshibaSatellite for 3 years with NO problems. If you're at least a little bit computer savvy, you can make it faster than it already is straight out of the boxby replacing some Toshiba programs with free ones that all smaller sizes. That, and it was about $550.

Haha, sorry. I should've been more specific.

I have the dv7t series. It's one helluva laptop.
I also have a MacBook pro, and occasionally I'll opt for the HP instead.

I say go for a Dell XPS. I got a m1330 and I like it a lot.

If you want it to be portable just a get a one with a 13.3" screen. For me its great - not to big to carry it around, and not to small when I need to getstuff done while Im at home. Just make sure it has a HDMI socket, so when you want to watch a movie you just plug it into a tv and you are all set. I dont knowabout you, but I wouldnt be able to walk around with a 15.4 monster in my backpack. Thats just too big to carry it in my backpack and Im not really a fan ofhaving a separate bag just for a laptop.

I got my dell with an integrated graphics card and its just enough for me. I dont play any games, and I like my battery to last longer. If you want anintegrated card just make sure you get a laptop with enough RAM memory to make up for it, I got mine with 4gb and multitasking on Vista isnt a problem.
