looks fake to me.

Fake! Tongue is too short, gold color is too light, blue tint on clear sole.

fake coz of the following reasons :

1. Material used is not standard (leather should not be shiny)
2. The big lump on the ankle part is not well defined and neither are the perforations

someone told me that seing a blue tint on the soles instead of the clearish icey-ness, is the number one way to spot a fake. any truth to that??

Fake. Overall shape is wrong. Midsole should be flat black. And generally looks poorly made with cheap materials.
