I don’t think it’s been proven about all the fakes with StockX. I trust them and have never had an issue.

This is mostly because people have a hard time telling a flawed legit pair vs a fake. We have seen a few definite fakes from StockX before but all in all they are usually ok. I would still consider them a safer bet than most comparable sites out there. Most people jump to conclusions and assume something is fake because it's not perfect.

Now them keeping your data safe is another conversation.
