Hey_

So my fellow NTer who loved The Fall as much as I did,

places it in the Honorable Mention section?

although Inglourious basterds was great, it doesn't deserve to be in top 10

i do agree with There Will Be Blood, The Departed and Fellowship Of The Ring

IDK but Carnality in '10's

The Lovely Bones was good...

then again, i dont watch movies that much.

So i choose 500 Days of Summer as top 10..

Good thread, solid list as well. Biggest thing I disagree with is There Will Be Blood, I thought Daniel Day Lewis carried the film, but the rest was lacking.

Almost Famous is one of my sleeper picks of this decade

6. Dark Knight
5. Children of Men
4. Mystic River
3. The Departed

1. Gladiator

You just put Training Day and TDK in the top 10 and my list sucks. Saving Private Ryan also came out in 98 so...
And I won't even touch how The Firm and The Business don't even belong in an honorable mention list for Top 50 movies.

It's beautiful enough in my opinion to be worth considering. Realistically it probably falls in the Top 25, but this is NT so why the hellnot

Ahh I knew I was forgetting something. Almost Famous and Little Miss Sunshine are two movie that probably could break the top 10.

Eternal Sunshine
Donnie Darko
City of God
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
The Prestige
Into The Wild
Wall-E
Gladiator
Casino Royale
Crash

I really suck coming up at top 10 lists, and I haven't seen a lot of the good movies of the decade even, so I'll go with top 10 movies I have seen

-The Departed
-Gladiator
-Amelie
-The Wrestler
-The Prestige
-Lord of the Rings (All included)
-Pan's Labyrinth
-V for Vendetta
-American Gangster
-Inglourious Basterds

Hard to decide between favorite movies and best movies. I have some favorites that are not really great movies like Ocean's Eleven, Italian Job, BloodDiamond, Apatow comedies and others

The Fast and the furious, 2 fast 2 furious,Fast and Furious tokyo drift, Fast and furious, Semi Pro............

1. Gladiator
2. Blood Diamond
3. Superbad
4. Troy
5. Wedding Crashers
6. Old School
7. Finding Nemo
8. Harold and Kumar go to White Castle
9. American Pie
10. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith or Star Trek (Toss up)

Honorable Mention: Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Van Wilder, More than a Game (Lebron James documentary), Pearl Harbor, Frost/Nixon, and Ironman.

Basing this completely on how I felt upon first watching the movie in the theater. Gladiator and Blood Diamond I was floored by how damn good of amovie/story/acting/action/dialogue. Can't really give it to sequels because I already have an expectation going in so i am prepared to be amazed (darkknight). Of all those I would recommend Frost/Nixon since I know many people haven't seen it and it is an amazing movie.

Tough list, a lot of it is going to go off of recent memory for me.

In no order.

1. The Departed
2. The Dark Knight
3. No Country for Old Men
4. The Prestige
5. Into the Wild
6.Benjamin Button
7. Up
8. Star Trek
9. Zodiac
10. Blow

Honorable Mention - Gone Baby Gone, Ingloriosu Basterds, Gangs of New York, Memento

My list sucks, all movies that came out in the past 3 years

I didn't really start getting into movies until a few years ago.

Although the Wrestler was a great movie, I can't see myself watching it again anytime soon. I think Star Trek was a GREAT movie, and Up >>>Wall-E

I can't put Lord of The Rings in there, movie was good but OD long.
