Life's Too Short (new show from Ricky Gervais and Warwick Davis)

Will watch when I get home. Everything Ricky has done so far is pure comedy so im sure this will follow. And they better have Karl in there too. The Ricky Gervais Show and An Idiot Abroad were absolutely hilarious

a few reasons actually.  Most British shows are shot on videotape (I'm not sure if that is the case with this one).  The use of PAL instead of NTSC  and a lot of British shows use natural lighting.

Is this show anything like Extras?!

Yes, it's essentially The Office and Extras rolled into one. Warwick pretty much plays David Brent crossed with Gareth Keenan.
That Liam Neeson scene was by far the highlight of the first episode -the rest was ultimately disappointing, especially when compared to Ricky and Steve's first two offerings.

Having said that, it's still very enjoyable in it's own right and I have faith it will improve as the series progresses.
