granted I've only been at my new job for about a month and a half..it is really starting to take its toll..its very dangerous and I find myself falling asleep on the ride home in traffic even after I've stocked up on the energy to keep me awake
my shift rotates every 2 weeks (6a-3p, 7a-4p, 8a-5p etc..)..I absolutely despise the 8a-5p and 9a-6p shift because of traffic..a normal trip with no traffic can average to around 35-40 minutes going to work and coming back..due to the forced laws of traffic

, this can average to about an hour and half.

i know there are some of you with an even worse commute..how do you all handle this nonsense

Lol, 10 minute walk to work.

Though I know a lot of guys that commute from the City out to the Greenwich Stamford area each day for work.

damn right now my commute is about 15 minutes but i might be taking a new job shortly which would make it about an hour 15-30... i dunno what to do.

HANDS DOWN the worst is my homeboys mom....

They live a little past Sacramento and she commutes to SF 5 days a week.

30 min commute for me, I also start losing concentration and blank out for a couple of seconds at a time.

75+ miles and 2+ hours is worth no money. I don't get why they just won't move closer.

That's ridiculous.

I am willing to go far if the pay is really nice. My morning commute on the train should be 15 minutes, but it's always 45 because the lines in Boston suck.

Where are you commuting to and from?  1.5 hrs sounds unreal.  Takes me like an hour from JFK into Midtown by subway.

Same for me, although its about an hour, hour 10 for me door to door.
50 minutes once I'm on the train max, glad the B run express to 42nd

Last semester I lived in flushing, and the commute to the city was 50 minutes long
...If I over slept just a little, it usually didn't make sense to go to class

Now I live about 20 minutes away
