Look at what $2.50 got me at Goodwill

So I was in the Goodwill this weekend getting an outfit together for Blocktoberfest and stumbled across some IV retro's. I was debating on picking them up because they have obvious signs of wear, but no big scuffs or anything. I'm thinking that with some light restoration these will be ready to wear in a little while.

Anyone have any tips for restoring these? Would white shoe polish be too contrasting?
