I used to nail off this movie back in college faithfully. As soon as Maxwell came on I was getting it in . Knew the script by heart.

When Q got injured and started to wear the brace, his love for basketball started to wither. Likewise, Monica came from overseas to see him atthe hospital. Later, she too confessed that her love for the game had started to die down. It wasn't until their final 1-on-1 game, when the brace wastaken off, that they not only started to love basketball again, but also each other.

Q was also still finding himself and didn't want to be like his father. The removal of the brace really made him a new made. He was shown at the endsupporting Monica and holding their baby.

Maybe I'm reaching...
