Mac Users: Final Cut Pro Question

I'm currently running on Final Cut 5.0.4. I want to have Final Cut 7. Do I need to get update after update until I get to 7? and if so how do I go aboutdoing that? Do i use the software update tab under the apple in the upper right hand corner?
