Mac Users: Recommendations on Creating .Gif Images From Video Files?

Whats up fellas, looking to create a couple .gifs and was wondering the best programs to do so... I was having trouble making one loop but yea what would u guys recommend?

I don't have extensive knowledge in this area, but I've used GIFfun to make gifs before. I don't know if you can pull frames from a video for the gif - it uses jpegs, I think. You could just take photos of the video on pause at the frames you want (command-shift-4) and use those to make the gif.
