he should have kept quiet. but the reporter seemed to only focus on the racist comments he made and when he started to talk about not being able to find a job, why did the camera focus on the tattoos. Messed up story, only made worse by the media.

No it's NOT okay that they called him a cracker, but at the same time you don't see any of those dudes that called him by the name on camera complaining with a black eye or with a loss or property now do you??  What I mean by that is when they called him by that racial slur that group was ready to handle business one way or another, our buddy dressed in goth clothing however obviously was not as he called the group by a racial slur and got dealt with accordingly as he got beat up.          

So what you're saying is that it's ok to be racist if you can back it up with violence.

No one deserves to get beat up five or more vs. one. Who cares what race they are. Gang mentality at it's finest. Maybe they were badgering someone else, and all he did was say, "hey it's been a long night, could yall keep it down?" And instead of being polite in public, those dudes had to get all rowdy instead.
