SAN DIEGO — A man in a Gumby suit tried to rob a Rancho Peñasquitosconvenience store early Monday but failed to do anything more than lose some change.
The costumed character and another man walked into the 7-Eleven on Carmel Mountain Road near Paseo Montalban about 12:30 a.m., San Diego police Detective Gary Hassen said.
Store surveillance video shows the man coming into the store in the green costume with his hands raised over his head.
