I wish it would've been for 40Mil or something lower, just to stick it to Manny just a bit. But it is clearly the best fit for both

I told you up in the season thread this would happen but y'all stay delusional like the Wilpons were willing to spend that type of dollars.

The Mets signing Manny would have made the most sense, but that's not my problem [IMG].

For some odd reason, I still have the Giants winning the N.L. West.

That's good for you fellow Dodger fans...One thing I hope is that he doesn't quit on your guys since he's being paid.

9:16pm: Tony Jackson of the Los Angles Daily News has provided excellent, accurate information throughout this entire saga. Here's an excerpt from his mostrecent blog post:

Manny IS on his way to Los Angeles tonight, just as Enrique Rojas reported on ESPN. Manny IS willing to accept some form of what the Dodgers offered him lastWednesday, a two-year, $45 million deal with $25 million the first year, $20 million the second year and an opt-out. That offer IS back on the table, eventhough it has been taken off the table last week. But there is no actual agreement in place YET, because Dodgers officials want to meet with Manny face toface, presumably tomorrow morning, before making this thing happen.
