not a big issue imo. I think that sportswriter has a thing for Manny, whatever it is, he is more drawn to Manny's negativity. However, if Manny left theballpark (cough Sammy Sosa, 2004 Regular Season Finale...cough) during the game, then it's a big issue.

Why is this news? He was supposed to be glued to the TV after having being told he wasn't needed? Like what's that supposed to prove, that he'sloyal to the team or lending them his support by watching TV? Baseball seems to be the only sport where this kind of stuff gets attention or is actuallyregarded as news. One of the many reasons I don't have anything to do, as a viewer, with the sport any longer.

who cares? if your coach has 14 CONSECUTIVE playoff appearances, 4 WS rings, and is OK with you doing this.. whats the big deal? this is the kind of stuffmanny does. the players love him, coaches are ok with it, and the owners make money off mannywood. the guy is a HARD worker, and does his job. im sure thisis the LEAST wackiest thing he does. but of course, the press hates him and will eat this up. its even on the dodger website. if there is one way to turnthis guy off is to write bad press about your OWN player.. why wake the sleeping dragon? let him do what he does, and things will be fine...
