Manufacturer date on tag inside shoe

I have a question about a pair of air max 97s. If they were released in 2018, and on the tag inside the shoe under the manufacturer date, it says 5-27-2020 are they definitely fake. I thought maybe they just made more at a later date. Or, are all shoes always made before their release date? Any help is Appreciated

At first glance everything checks out. Might just be a rerelease run. A lot of legit stores still selling these.

Where did you get this pair.

Stockx, which are pretty good but sometimes they f up. I think they're replicas because a ton of these hit the market recently and are pretty cheap, around $100 give or take when they were $150-$250. I done some digging and haven't found any restock/re-release on em either.

Plus, the reason replicas are so good is because they steal the mold for em, that's why its usually something real small they forget to do that let's you know they're replicas. The real good replicas are basically the same, sadly.
